YOGA introduced me to myself
I spent 20 years of my life disassociated from my spirit, body, and mind. Luka was an ego-driven, masked, actor human. I did not know what I wanted or needed. I never knew how to ask for help. Then came yoga.
Yoga gave me space to form a relationship with my emotions, thoughts, body, and breath. My first practice was the first time I felt fully human—a familiar return to home. Meditation and breathwork are magic you can carry anywhere. Yoga unlocks imagination and consciousness. Yoga taught me how to cry, to connect with this spirit’s strength and resiliency. Yoga teaches me how to love.
Practicing the asanas in community gave me space to be seen, to cry, to fear, and to finally let go. I remember my first sequence like it was yesterday—sobbing in savasana. Five years later, leading people through the asanas (who once felt like strangers) still feels like a dream.
This practice is home.
I lead to remind our bodies of intuition. To give consciousness space to move—through heaviness, lightness, stillness. I hold space that is safe and supportive. My passion is experiencing the unified consciousness of breath, sound, and movement.
My mantra is surrender. I intend to lead humbly with an open heart and serve as a reminder of the universe’s love for spontaneity, courage, and sacred balance. I hope to leave anyone I meet feeling grounded, supported, and seen.
